#SPPGClassof2021Two Call for applications

You are tired of the status quo, you’ve protested, advocated and you want to run for office or serve in government in 2023 or sometime in the future. The reality is that fixing Nigeria is rocket science. There are no easy answers or shortcuts, you may have good intentions, a passion to serve and to do what is right but without competence, capacity and character you will fail just like those before you.

That is why you will need to learn how to lead, govern a complex nation, advocate, craft and implement policies that are inclusive.
The School of Politics, Policy and Governance, is training a disruptive breed of mission-driven politicians that will run for office and win an election.

Our curriculum is designed as a 21st Century-type Disruptive Thinking leadership program to train 5000 new political leaders in five years who will run for elective offices at State and Federal levels in legislative and executive offices, thus presenting the electorate with top quality choices of candidates.

PRESS STATEMENT ON APPLICATIONS TO SPPG PIONEER CLASS OF 2021

The School of Politics, Policy, and Governance is delighted to announce that despite the stringent criteria for applicants and a two-week application window to ensure the commencement of classes by March 1st, 2021, its first call for applications to the Pioneer Class of 2021 exceeded its projections in numbers and the quality of the applications by over 300%, presenting a welcome challenge for assessors and selectors.

In what can be described as a remarkable demonstration of single-mindedness by all the applicants to be active participants in disruptive change in the practice of Politics and Governance, over 700 applications were received. Furthermore, the data from the admissions review process shows that applicants strived to meet the deadline, including providing essential documents such as the mandatory recommendation letters.

SPPG acknowledges this commitment on the part of the applicants and has in recognition extended our admissions review period by one week (7 days) to ensure that all 721 applications received are duly processed. As a consequence, all successful applicants to the SPPG Certificate in Public Leadership and Policy Programme will now be notified of the final status of their applications between February 9th and February 15th, 2021. We regret any inconveniences caused by this extension and reiterate our commitment to commencement on March 1st, 2021.

We look forward to welcoming our Pioneer Class of 2021!
